Source Water Protection Assessments (“SWPA”) are part of an overall Source Water Protection Plan (“SWPP”) and Fractal Consulting, LLC offers services towards developing a SWPA in the area of watershed description, analysis, and characterization. This may involve analysis in the areas of land use, geomorphology/topography, underlying geology, oil/gas activities, ground and surface water resources, water quality/monitoring, and finally, an inventory of potential sources of contamination (“PSOC”). Field services are offered in the way of on-site inspections and documentation. GIS mapping is used to illustrate quickly the points being made in the Source Water Assessment. Fractal Consulting, LLC is capable of conducting custom research that may be needed to fill in the gaps of governmental databases or provide data that may be unique to a given clients’ needs, especially if oil/gas activities may be affecting the source water of a community. Or, Fractal Consulting, LLC can aid communities if their existing SWPP simply needs to be updated to comply with the AWIA.
